The property has approximately two miles of frontage with Apple Lake Sanctuary and a waterfowl rest area. There is an 80 acre reservior which contains upland hardwoods that are flooded during duck season and approximately 40 acres stocked with bass and crappie that stays wet all year.
Improvement Notes:
Prairie potholes have been created in a joint partnership with Ducks Unlimited. All potholes have water control structures and 18 wells are able to flood approximately 1,000 acres of WRP fields that have been levied to flood during duck season, in addition to flooded timber areas in existing sloughs that are full of native cypress.
Ducks Unlimited has also planted 800 acres of hardwoods and 200 acres of natural grasses.
In addition, dove fields have been planted and can hunt over 40 persons per day. 280 acres of flooded timber with 10 duck hunting “holes” This is a premier hunting property!
